Targeted Shaklee Healing: Magnesium

In this series I would like to inform you, the Shaklee representative or user, on how products can be used. In every new product launch we are given a broad representation of the product, how many people may be affected by it, such as 80% of the population is lacking in magnesium. These are great selling points but the one thing that I am fantastic at, is a targeted application of products.

This would be a great way to keep the spirits high at meetings or even when your downline is feeling a bit out of sorts. To know that someone is thinking about them, that success is not always leveraged with monetary gain...


Perhaps if this is how people were introduced to Shaklee, instead of a sales minded approach, success would be much easier than it seems to be. I have always touted the "Caring, Counselor, Honest" approach and this goes right along with my methodology. I am currently working on a few things that may help people within organizations, stay tuned.

The Shaklee Wedding

Imagine, an olde Victorian home in the Alabama countryside, it is white washed as if fashioned of bone. The porch runs the length of the home and tucks itself neatly just beyond each corner. A fountain just before the main steps bursts with gold, red, yellow and green hues of arranged flowers.

Banners are strung to the left of the main yard, in the middle of a field, white and green [Shaklee colors] snap wildly in the wind. In fact, everything at this event is white and green, and a gold Shaklee Distrubutor's pin flashes vividly on my lapel. Her dress is white of course!, with a light green veil shielding her face.

I am wearing a white suit shot through with green stitching at the seams. The tables, the chairs, the cake, all white and green. This is my wedding...

If you are thinking, "This is nuts." well, it is nuts. I would never do such a thing, wearing a white suit, no. This suit is all green, a patchwork of forest and evergreen, military and camo. This is Alabama after all and we are absolutely insane about Shaklee. We door-knock with the subtleties of a black-clad SWAT team, my foot landing just to the left of the knob, a splintering of wood announcing our environmentally friendly arrival!

Alright, well, perhaps all of this is a half-truth. We are getting married, it is in the countryside in an "Olde" Victorian, actually the description is spot on. Except the green and white, it is more of a white and cream, all colors of roses and an array of sweets that is unsettling to me as a fanatically healthy person.

I just wanted to let everyone know, well, both of you and one of you being me, that I have not been posting as I prepare for this event on September the 11th!

The Coach Approach

Introduction:

First of all I would like to introduce a book to everyone, "Win-Win Selling: The Original 4-Step Counselor Approach For Building Long-Term Relationships With Buyers". I have absolutely no affiliation with this book, if I have something exciting to share with you, I certainly will. Generic vs. Non-Generic:

The idea of this approach is the one I use on a day-to-day basis and it meshes well with Shaklee. Have you ever tried to sell a car to someone? Worked on a commission based income? If you have  than you know all too well the pressure of sales, when the salesman is pressured, the customer becomes pressured. It is an uncomfortable way to earn money and it just feels wrong.

When I worked on the floor in the vitamin industry, you had a team that was counting on you and you have to sell specific product or you did not bonus. Suddenly, every person is walking out the door with "Hydroxycut Hardcore"!  I could not believe it when I saw my manager sell this to an elderly person for an $8 dollar bonus. People had become a commodity and this is when I left the industry...

The people that come into vitamin stores are not simply curious, they have real concerns, they are seeking answers. In almost every large chain vitamin store you find a generic approach and a cure-all, tailored to your needs around commission-able product, not necessarily the healthiest answer.

Win-Win:


Shaklee is a breath of fresh air coming from that kind of environment and when I came out of this environment into a healthier one. I had no idea how to move this product, my pitch was robotic and well, it was a pitch. In comes "Win-Win Selling", a coach approach to sales, a healthy way to sell that benefits everyone involved. 


The Steps:

Find your passion, what do you have experience with? Have you suffered from allergies? If so, you have something in common with at least 55% percent of the population. Immune boosters like NutriFeron are for you!

Discover a need, I do this simply by listening to people with complaints, eventually an open ear will attract a lot of attention. Idly suggesting a solution has a lot of power, when doing this, just wait for them to ask you about your proposal.

Selflessness, I often give someone product if I think it will help them, recently I had given away a bottle of VitalMag to an individual suffering from a multitude of conditions. Lack of quality sleep, depression, anxiety, I gave this product with no intention of return on investment. If you have a solid solution that works they may wish to continue this regimen, thinking of others feels nice, and it is healthy!

If you think something will work better than a Shaklee product, well, you should offer it. Send out postcards, ask about their day, give them a call, as a friend and not a pusher.

How To Help! & Profit?

Prologue:

"These methods can be applied to any business, they are used in this specific context for Shaklee because that is what I do. So read on..."

Introduction:

So you need help yourself and we do this by selflessly assisting others, this is a somewhat broad subject, so let me narrow it down. By listening to those around us we can perceive opportunity! The next time you hear, "Argh!! I just cannot get my cholesterol down...", you must introduce and interject.

The Listening Advantage:

It is that simple and there is no shortage of personal complaints in the world. The sick, the jobless, the struggling, even the rich, will soon have a need. If I know of a way that I can help someone, even if it is separate from the Shaklee line, I do not hesitate. Because every positive connection will lead you towards a positive end.

Know When To Stop:

You cannot help those that will not help themselves, on one hand I adhere to empathy and on the other hand, you have no ability to force someone to be healthy or work. There are people out there that enjoy their ailments and the attention that comes with them. Releasing and removing these people from our lives could be the healthiest thing you do for yourself. 

Establish Control:

Personal well being should be established before moving forward, when joining Shaklee you will be asked to use their products, enjoy them, and feel better. You should, they are fantastic products, they are clinically tested. But do not under any circumstances try to buy everything at once because this will only damage you and your household. 

Follow Your Interests:

What interests you the most? The product you choose for your original niche should be something that interests you. If you attempt to sell something only because you think it is the best business model, well, this may end badly. 

How long has it been since you were passionate about something!? The beauty of the Shaklee line is that we have multiple avenues for any type of person to follow.

If you have a passion for beauty, pursuing cleaning product because it is less expensive, makes no sense. In a business model this looks fantastic for your pocket book! But you really do not love what you do, stop thinking about money. It is impossible, I know, you may owe $10,000 dollars to the IRS but there is no healthy way to move forward with this mindset. 


Conclusion:

Listening to the needs around you can be profitable and rewarding, following your heart may seem like a long lost dream, sadly this is the only way to achieve your goals. Stop thinking about money, business models, and selfish desires. Selfless thoughts along with personal wellness will bathe you in financial wellness.

Who am I?
